1 Timotius 3:4-5

3:4 He must manage his own household well and keep his children in control without losing his dignity. ¹  3:5 But if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for the church of God?

1 Timotius 5:17

5:17 Elders who provide effective leadership ²  must be counted worthy ³  of double honor, ⁴  especially those who work hard in speaking ⁵  and teaching.
